We are pleased to be offering today this very unusual example of Victorian furniture as displayed by this six drawer gentleman’s tall lock side chest. It is unusual in the fact that it is in ash with an olive ash burl accent on the dove tail drawers. Usually these are cherry, walnut or mahogany. It has the spindle stick and ball gallery all intact. It has the very unusual flip down brass Eastlake style hardware and one is missing on the bottom right hand side of the bottom drawer. We replaced it with a reproduction handle that is very comparable but is a different design. The key is not with the item. It original had a key hole cover on the lock side. It is real clean in nice original condition with a few water spots on the top. The overall size is 32 inches wide, 18 inches deep and 56 inches high.
