We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful wonderful original condition heavily carved renaissance burl walnut felt top library table that dates from the 1870s to 1880s. It came right out of the cape cod Massachusetts area. This beautiful dark walnut incise carved and burl walnut accent trims all over including the border top. We brought it in to tighten it up and re-felt the top. We polished it and replaced a button on the side of the leg, which you can not tell. The table is simply stunning with the patina of this early Victorian finish. The writing surface is 42 inches wide by 26 inches deep by 29.5 inches high. It has a large center drawer with a lock, but no key. The size of the drawer is approximately 27 inches wide and 19 inches deep by 2.5 inches high. I don’t know how to explain this overall beauty of this wonderful table, but take time to look at the pictures. This table has a carved black walnut center urn with burl walnut accent raised panel trims underneath, spindle post with a bottom side finial, arch cut out supports, incise carving, a 45 degree angle top with burl walnut edge and the skirt is simply stunning.
