We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful set of 6 matching Regency, some people call it Empire, style dining chairs that date from the 1860s to 1870s in beautiful condition. Each chair has a brass bell flower inlaid with an ebony border on each top crest rail, a horizontal slat in the center that is wonderfully hand carved with a cornucopia with a floral rondel and the rectangular seats retain the original seat frame and are covered in an upholstered pale green and cream stripe silver style type fabric that is in real good usable condition, but easily replaced if desired. The chairs have saber style front legs and a flared back leg. Each chair is numbered to insure they are a matching set. The chairs retain the early if not original surface and has mellowed to a nut brown with a mellow patina. The chair frames are good, but a few are loose. The overall size is 17.5 inches wide, 17.5 inches deep and 33.5 inches tall to the top. The seat height is 17 inches. It is a great period set of chairs with the attraction of the inlaid. You are getting all six for one money. Shipping starts at $245 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England. Please contact us prior to purchase with your zip code to confirm what it would cost you if outside of New England for shipping.
