SOLD Set of 6 Period Pre-Civil War Empire Dining Chairs
We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful set of 6 matching original flame mahogany dining chairs in wonderful condition and all original dating from the 1850’s. They even come with the original horse hair upholstery that is in good condition. If you are looking for untouched pre-civil war set of dining room chairs to go into a country home then these are it. These are dark and could be French polished out for a nice shine. They have a flame mahogany back, unusual design of an upside down bell in the back, wrap around empire arm, saber style front legs and flared back legs. The overall size is 19 inches wide, 17 inches deep, 31 inches high to the back and 18 inches high to the seat. It is unique to find a set of this age untouched and intact.
