SOLD Set of 6 Period Flame Mahogany Civil War Era Empire Dining Chairs
We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful set of 6 flame mahogany first period empire civil war empire dining room chars in previously restored condition dating from the 1860’s. These are getting harder to find with this beautiful grain design. These chairs have beautiful needlepoint seats. The chairs have been all re-glued and redone within the last 15-20 years. There are nicks and dings here and there, but that is to be expected from chairs of this age. One chair had a crack on the back by the center slat, which the owner attempted to fix but we are going to professionally address it so that you won’t be able to notice it. The chairs are all finished in a dark reddish brown mahogany stain and feature hand carved crests, saber style front legs, one piece flared back leg and beautiful cut out on the stylish back. Over all they are a very desirable set of chairs that are getting harder to find. The overall size is 17.5 inches wide, 17 inches deep, approximately 34 inches high to the back, 18 inches high to the seat. We will make sure the chairs are tight and sturdy prior to shipping.
