SOLD Antique Period Flame Mahogany Civil War Era Empire Game Table
We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful flame mahogany empire
civil war era game table in full refinished condition that dates from the
1850s to 1860s. Look at the beautiful flame mahogany on the face of the
table with the four piece mahogany veneer top. The top had two or three
surface cracks, which are normal, and the repair was been previously filled
and you can see the lines. The great thing about a game table is that it is
three pieces of furniture in one. This beautiful table can be left closed
up as a pier, sofa or hall table. When you open it and lean the top against
the wall it can be a great display piece for a leaded lamp of beautiful vase
full of flowers. Finally it can be used for its original purpose of playing
games. You can swing the top over to the side, which reveals a storage area
for cards and other game pieces, and flip down the cover to great a square
playing area. This particular model has ribbon molding, flame mahogany
face, reverse ogee oversize exaggerated platform that goes down into the
traditional empire curl feet. The overall size is 35 inches wide, 17.5
inches deep and 30 inches high when closed up. When you take the top and
spin it around it is 35 inches square and 29 inches high. Shipping for a
