

We are pleased to be offering this beautiful empire period flip top game table dating from the 1850s to 1860s. We have run it through our professional restoration shop to re-glue, hand sand,strip, hand stain a beautiful reddish brown mahogany color just like it had originally and then we applied multiple coats of moisture resistant lacquer for years of carefree use. It has a wonderful patina! The table has a solid mahogany top, a flame mahogany molded skirt underneath, the traditional flame mahogany column, ogee molding underneath, a platform base and bun foot. The great thing about game tables is that it is three pieces of furniture of one. First you can leave them together to be have a table to put against the wall to place your items on. Second you can flip up against a wall to great a wonderful backdrop for a Tiffany lamp or stunning vase of flowers. Third you can flip the lid up and spin the top around to create a game table or a small dinner table to seat 4 people. The overall size is 35.5 inches across, 18 inches deep and 29 inches high. When you take the table and flip it around to create a game table it becomes 36 inches by 36 inches by 28 inches high. There is also a space underneath the lid to store your cards and game pieces. We often ship these tables taken apart, which is only a couple of bolts, for $189 nationwide.
