SOLD Antique Set of 6 Mahogany Formal Carved Regency Dining Chairs

In all my 50 years in the antique business, I have never had this high-quality exquisite dining chair model. It is made by some high-quality furniture maker. This set consists of four side chairs and two oversize armchairs. The backs are the same but are larger in the armchairs. The armchairs have a carved header, but the side chairs are plain. The front legs are Regency style. The side chairs have a button carved and the armchairs have fleur-de-lis carving. The front legs are saber style, and the back legs are flared. At the end of the photos, we have added a photo showing these chairs around a table we have that matches nicely. This listing is for the chairs only. The chairs date from the 1920's-1930's and are in good shape with a few minor water marks on some of the seats. The finish is a brownish mahogany stain. The upholstery is a purple crush velour, which sounds odd, but it looks nice. The chairs are all tight and sturdy. The overall size of the armchairs are 23 inches wide on the outside of the arms, 20 inches wide on the inside of the arms, 20 inches deep, 37 inches high to the chair back and 19 inches high to the seat. The side chairs are 20 inches wide, 17 inches deep, 37 inches high to the chair back and 19 inches high to the seat. You get all six chairs for one money.
