We are pleased to be offering today this fantastic beautiful set of 4 nicely carved burl walnut renaissance chairs that date from the 1880’s. They are a beautiful set of chairs. The fabric is an antique wine color with a buttoned and pleated back that is in good usable condition. There maybe a couple of small spoil spots, but nothing serious. The color choice against the original black walnut with walnut wood frame is awesome. The chairs are so much better than average with open pierce carved crest with the center medallion, carved trim additions on both sides of burl walnut back, carved knuckles that hold the back to the seat and multi-turn solid front spindle legs that retain the original dainty castors. There is burl trim on the skirt also. The overall size is 20 inches wide, 19 inches deep, 37 inches high to the back and 19 inches high to the center of the seat. It is a great looking set of four that came from the Cape off Massachusetts out of the dining room. These could be used as parlor chairs or dining chairs. You are getting all four for one money.
