SOLD Antique Victorian Renaissance Burl Walnut Heavily Carved Parlor Table
We are pleased to be offering today this prime example of Victorian renaissance as displayed in this gorgeous burl walnut solid black walnut and heavily carved library table or parlor table that dates from the 1870s to 1880s in what appears to be the original finish. It has incise carved shields on all sides, except one of the smaller sides is missing the shield. The side of the table can be placed against the wall, and no one would ever know. There is a ball missing off the bottom of the trims that we will detail out prior to shipping. Other than that, the condition is wonderful except there is a bit of wrinkling on a spot of the burl walnut veneer top that you must catch at the right angle to notice. The table has burl panels throughout, burl top and a gorgeous burl center on the top that is mindboggling. The table is 43 inches wide, 27 inches deep and 31 inches high. It has fluted burl accent trim incise carved shape legs. Look at the center finial with h a cross stretcher that is all burl decorated. It has burl accents and multi-turnings all over. I have never seen one like this, but I like the accent and carving work done on this unique piece to accent any room.
