We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful match pair of period empire flame mahogany hard to find arm chairs that date from the 1850s to 1860s. It is a great looking pair that came out of a local Maine Church. They have flame mahogany hand carved crest with a scroll center splat that is hand carved with flame mahogany. Flame mahogany skirts across the front too! They have a reverse carved arm, flared back leg and a saber style front leg. They are beautiful in original condition. One chair had a crack in the right hand corner of the back that was repaired a long time ago. They are 21 inches wide, 21 inches deep, 27 inches high to the arms and 39 inches high to the chair back. The upholstery is an antique green crush velour that is in good shape. Other than tightening up the chairs a bit (which we will do prior to shipping), they are in good usable condition. Please contact us prior to purchase with your zip code to confirm what it would cost you if outside of New England for shipping.
