We are pleased to be offering today this original finish flame mahogany French foot serpentine skirt empire game table that dates from the 1840s to 1850.  It is in as found condition it has the typical nicks, dings, minor veneer chips on the edges and the biggest negative is the normal shrunk wood under the flame mahogany veneer which causes a line in the tops.  It is nothing structurally, but I wanted to mention it.  This is the heart shape model as they call it as it looks like the same symbol used on the internet where you put two hands together to make a heart.  It is a French footed base.  The whole entire game table is flame mahogany in the lovely patina.  All we did was oil it up and take photos.  The overall size is 34 inches wide, 18 inches deep and 31 inches high.  When you want a card table or small dinette table it becomes 36 by 35.  When you spin the top around there is a small compartment for game pieces.  The great thing about game tables is that you are getting a hall table when it is closed, flip the top up and put it against the wall to display a vase, leaded lamp or bust.  Finally you an open the top and spin it around to give a great place to play bridge, cribbage, chess or board game.  It could even be used as a small dinette table. Overall condition is as found and original.  Shipping starts at $165 if you are in our normal area and will increase in costs if not. This estimate is for the East coast. You are welcome to use your own shipper if desired.  Please contact us prior to purchase with a zip code to confirm that you are in our normal area.
