SOLD Antique Pair of Horner Carved Lion Face Claw Foot Chairs
This match pair of Antique Horner Chairs feature a solid construction, are heavily carved, and have fantastic claw feet. Dating from the 1880s in beautiful original condition, these antique Horner parlor chairs have red leather upholstery. These antique chairs are definitely Horner, but they aren’t marked so we will call them Horner style. Look at the carvings! There is a double lion face going across the wide top crest rail and one below the seat back. The front legs are barley twist and terminate in a toenail claw foot. Look at the unusual cross stretcher that is a U shape to create style. The red leather is usable with minor scratches here and there. The chairs are in the dark oak finish. This will match almost any piece of Horner. These can be used in a dining room, office or in front of a fireplace. The overall size is 21 inches wide across the seat, 20 inches deep, 19.5 inches high to the seat and 46 inches high overall. You are getting the pair for one money. They are in original untouched condition. I do not see anything wrong with them, but I am sure there are some nicks and dings if you study them hard enough.
