We are pleased to be offering today this antique solid tiger sawn oak Victorian age claw foot carved desk that dates from the 1890’s in original finish. It is a great quality desk. It is heavy for the size. It has dove tail construction on all four drawers, beaded molding where your legs go, cabriole style claw foot legs with scallop bottom trim and a round corner tiger sawn oak top. It is in a medium oak finish that has been aged to a beautiful patina over the years. The face of the desk appears to have drawers, but they are simulated raised panel drawers. The overall condition is good with minor nicks and dings on there. The flat top has a hairline crack that is approximately 4 inches. The side has a crack that can be filled in if so desired, but I would leave it as the desk is all original. There maybe some chips on the scallop trim, but you would have to look hard to find any.

The overall size is 45 inches wide, 26 inches deep and 28 inches high. The area where your legs go is 20 inches wide by 23 inches high. I do believe this is a good candidate to put castors on, if so desired. There is a lock on the top two drawers, but there is no key.
