SOLD Antique Victorian Oak Raised Panel Flat Top Desk
We are pleased to be offering today this refinished tiger sawn oak Victorian flat top raised panel desk that dates from the 1890s. It is a nice-looking desk in a dark oak stain finish with carved hand pulls. Each bank of drawers has pull out writing surfaces. The left-hand bank has four regular drawers. There is a center drawer. The right-hand bank has two regular size drawers and a file cabinet drawer. It has 26 raised panels all the way around so that the desk can be left in the middle of the room to admire.
The overall size is 55 inches wide, 32 inches deep, and 31 inches high. The size of the drawers are 12 inches wide, 25 inches deep, and 4.5 inches high. The center drawer is 25 inches deep and 2.5 inches high. The file drawer is 10 inches high.
The overall condition is nice. There was an oil lamp on the top that has left a little wrinkle circle, but that is just me being picky. It is in a dark oak stain with multiple coats of satin sheen lacquer.
