We are pleased to be offering today this tiger sawn oak Victorian age double drawer face oak partners desk that is all raised panel and dates from the 1890’s in original finish condition. Each side has four drawers on each column. The other column has two drawers and a simulated two drawer that is a file cabinet. There is a center drawer and two pull out writing surfaces (one on each column) and the same on the other side of the desk, hence the partner term!! The top is bread board end tiger sawn oak with a round corner edge. This desk was most likely made by Standard or Derby as determined by the molding. There are raised panels on the inside and outside on the columns and across the drawer fronts.

The desk is 60 inches wide, 48 inches deep and 30 inches high. The size for your legs is 24 inches wide by 24 inches high. This desk would be gorgeous professionally restored and refinished. If you are interested in having restored, please contact us for a quote. The overall condition is good with minor flaws, scratches, nicks and dings. One side has is really dark stained. The drawer bottoms are in as found condition (some could be replaced and there are some cracks). They are usable as they are, but we would replace them during the restoration/refinishing process. The top comes off, the columns come apart, the center is separate which makes it easy to place in the home or office. The desk is in a dark oak stain finish showing normal wear from age. These partner’s desks are getting hard to find.
