SOLD Antique Desk, Oak with Flat Top

This antique flat top desk is constructed out of oak and dates from the 1890s. It’s a nice desk that would make any business person happy. There are two banks of drawers on the desk; on the left-hand side are four drawers, and on the right hand side there are what appears to be four drawers, but it’s actually three drawers! The bottom two drawers are actually a single file drawer, so when you open it up, it’s big enough to hold your files. All of the drawers have carved handles on them, including the center drawer, above each bank of drawers has a pull out writing tray. All the drawers are nicely dovetailed. This antique oak flat top desk has raise panels on all sides, including the inside where your knees go! Paneling on the front-facing part of the desk means that you can place this desk anywhere in the room and it will look great. The desktop is a different color stain than the desk itself; looks like maybe it was either refinished at some point, or sat near a window and got faded out by the sun. This is a nice looking desk, but if you want a really beautiful desk, this item is a great candidate to be fully refinished by our professional restoration team here.
