We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful walnut dining room set made by the Berkey and Gay Company that consists of a set of six chairs and an extension 45 degree angle dining room table that comes with three leaves. Two of the leaves are skirted and one is straight edge. The set of six chairs consists of four side chairs and two arm chairs. It is in the original old finish from the 1930s. The seats retain the original needlepoint seat covering that are an antique pink with a colorful floral background with different patterns on each seat. The chairs have the same style legs as the table which are bulbous carved with bun feet. The chairs have fancy cut out splats and a one piece flared back legs. The arm chairs have carved knuckles on the arms. The table is an extension leaves with three 12 inch table leaves. It rests upon a trestle base with a shoe foot heavy carved footed pedestal. It is a great looking set for a reasonable price. It is what we would call in the antique world, Jacobean style. The size of the dining table is 66 inches long by 42 inches deep and 30 inches high. When the three leaves are inserted, the table becomes 102 inches long. The arm chairs are 23 inches wide, 20 inches deep, 39 inches high to the chair back, 27 inches high to the arm and approximately 20 inches high on the seat. The four side chairs are 20 inches wide, 18 inches deep, 37 inches high to the chair back and 19 inches high to the seat. There some tiny flaws, but nothing very noticeable. They are in the dark walnut stain aged to a perfection over the years. There is a darker finish on the inside of the lines on the base and carved knuckles of the chairs. The table has the original leaf rack that comes with it. Shipping starts at $395 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England.
