SOLD Victorian Pine Hand Decorated Bedroom Suite

We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful Victorian age hand decorated pine stenciled original finish bedroom set that dates from the 1880s in unbelievable condition.  Up here in the state of Maine, we are notorious for finding bedroom sets that have been beautiful decorated, stenciled and hand painted from as far back as the civil war era.  It is in the desirable light beige accent finish.  The set consists of a full size bed with a curved footboard, a lift top wash stand, a dresser with a swivel mirror and ditty boxes, shapely style stand and three matching chairs.  It has wonderful hardware on it.  They used the Victorian solid walnut carved pulls that actually dates this a little earlier to the 1870s.  It has wood grain decorations and oval panels on the dresser, bed and commode.  The overall size of the bed is 56.75 inches, 62.5 inches high on the headboard and the footboard is 35.75 inches.  The inside dimensions for mattress purposes is 54x75, which is a modern day full size mattress.  The lift top commode is 28.5 inches wide, 17.5 inches deep and 30 inches high.  It is a great looking commode. There is a knob missing on the hand cut dove tail drawer of the commode.  If you remind us at the time of sale, we will put a round walnut knob on for you.  The dresser base is 38.75 inches wide, 17 inches deep and 35.5 inches high.  The height with the original swivel mirror on top is 72.5 inches high.  The shapely turtle top cutout stand is 30.5 inches wide, 18.25 inches deep and 27.5 inches high.  All the stenciling and the finish on this bedroom set is in wonderful condition.  The three chairs have cane seats and even the cane is good.  The overall size of the chairs is 16 inches wide, 15 inches deep and 34 inches high.  They are outstanding and wonderful looking.  You are getting the bed, commode, dresser, stand and three chairs for one money.  Shipping will be in the $400 range depending on your locale.  Please contact us prior to purchase to get a quote for your particular location.
