This charming Victorian oak desk chair is a petite example of late 19th-century craftsmanship (1890's), perfect for use as a child’s desk chair, petite adult seat, or unique accent piece.

It features a slender, shield-form back with a gracefully arched crest rail that gently scrolls at each end. The back slats are delicately tapered, with a central turned support offering added stability and visual interest. The narrow proportions and airy design lend it a refined, feminine look characteristic of late Victorian and early Arts & Crafts transitional design.

The seat is a solid oak saddle seat with a shallow dish profile for comfort and a softly contoured edge. Gorgeous quarter-sawn oak grain is visible throughout, especially the ray flecking, which speaks to the quality of the wood selection. The seat boards are carefully joined and show signs of period construction.

The chair stands on gently tapered front legs and slightly curved rear legs, with a straight stretcher at the back for extra stability. The proportions are exceptionally narrow and dainty:
