We are pleased to be offering today probably one of the nicest solid tiger sawn oak most unusual stylish ladies desk chair or vanity chair that dates from the 1890s. Check out all the photos. It has a deep dish oval cut out design back in a floral design with carved relief flower petals throughout. The seat is all solid tiger sawn and it is carved along the edge. It sits upon barley twist four legged ball feet with a barley twist cross stretcher. I don’t think I have seen a chair as fancy like this one. We have glued up the chair to make sure it is all tight and sturdy. At one time the wood must have split on the solid oak seat as you can see the line where it was filled. It is structurally sound. The amount of carving on this chair is mind boggling. The overall size of the chair is 15 inches wide, 16 inches deep, 38 inches high to the chair back and 18 inches high to the seat.
