SOLD Victorian Oak Raised Panel Roll Top Desk by Gunn

We are pleased to be offering today this dark oak original finish raised panel tiger sawn multi-drawer interior roll top desk made by the Gunn Furniture Company out of Grand Rapids Michigan that are well known for their furniture making abilities.  The desk has the file cabinet drawer on the base with two dove tail drawers above it and a pull out tray.  When the tambour S roll is rolled up it reveals a multi-cubby hole interior with a seven drawer combination with open cubby holes.  The thing about it that is impressive is the quality of the raised panels and the grains used.  It has a solid writing surface, comes with the key, has a stamper rack on the back of the interior that wasn’t original but is vintage.  The only confusing thing about the desk is that the  front trim board where the legs go doesn’t look original as there is a gap on each side.  I thought they were wider, but I am not 100% sure.  I wanted to point it out regardless.  The overall size of the desk is 37 inches wide, 32 inches deep, 30.5 inches high to the writing surface, 18.5 inches high for the S top (which is taller than normal) and 48 inches high overall.  It does not have any castors.  The beautiful thing about this desk is the gorgeous raised panels on the back with NINE raised panels on the back and SEVEN raised panels on each side!  It is a great looking desk with a dark patina.  What a great nice original American made roll top.  Shipping starts at $300 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England.  Outside New England it will change, so please contact us prior to purchase with your zip code to obtain a quote for outside of New England for shipping.
