SOLD Victorian Marble Top Cookie Corner Half Commode or Nightstand
We are pleased to be offering this beautiful Victorian carved walnut marble top cookie corner half commode or night stand to you today. Dating from the 1870s, this piece remains in beautiful condition, with its carved pillars running down the corners, with cookie corner baseboard, cookie corner top boards, and hand carved walnut handle on the picture frame hand cut dove tail drawer. The pull appears like a lions face! Note the picture frame molded door that opens to reveal a single shelf interior and a white and gray grained marble top. The finish is nice, with just a few dark stains on the marble that probably can't be bleached or buffed out, but honestly are typical in a piece this age. They are not offensive, but I wanted to mention it.
On the side of the cabinet, the baseboard molding has some stain lines which I did not notice until now. The overall size is 19 inches wide, 19 inches deep and 30 inches high. It is a beautiful half commode. Shipping starts at $165 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England.
