SOLD Victorian Marble Top Bedroom Suite – Rare Queen Size Bed

We are pleased to be offering today this two piece matching Victorian unbelievable condition burl walnut marble top bedroom set that consists of a gorgeous marble top drop center dresser and a hard to find rare queen size bed.  The bed was professionally adapted into a  queen size and it is one of the nicest jobs I have ever seen.  You really have to study it to see it was altered.  The inside dimensions are 64 inches wide by 81 inches long.   It will definitely fit a modern day queen size mattress.  I hope the pictures do it justice.  The burl walnut has a gorgeous finish that is a beautiful warm amber color and it has so many things to brag about.  It has hand carved rosettes, buttons, solid walnut trim, racetrack molding, hidden secret drawer on the base of the dresser and it is simply breath taking.  The only negative I see is that someone had done some damage (A hairline crack that has been repaired)  to the right hand marble and you can hardly tell as I missed it the first few times I looked at it.  This dresser is unusual with a double oil lamp shelf on both sides, which is unique as they usually have one shelf on each side.  The crest on the headboard and footboard with a big walnut rosette in the center is gorgeous.  It is a beautiful Victorian bedroom set that is ready to go into the home.  The overall size of the bed is 72 inches wide, 36 inches high on the footboard and 85 inches high on the headboard.  The dresser is 92 inches high, 45 inches wide on the base, 30 inches high to the outside marble, 24 inches high to the drop center marble and 20 inches deep on the base.  The size of the mirror is 17 inches wide by 39 inches high on the glass. The set is beautiful and I assume it has been all refinished and if it hasn’t been refinished than it is as brand new condition as I have ever seen.  It is simply stunning.  The bed has been adapted for modern day queen size mattress.  You are getting the two pieces for one money.  Shipping estimates starts at $425.00-$525.00 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England.
