SOLD Antique Bedroom Set, Antique Bed Suite, Victorian, Marble Top

We are pleased to be offering this beautiful three-piece Victorian burl walnut carved bedroom set to you today. Dating from the 1870s to 1880s, this wonderfully carved bedroom set features original dark finish and consists of a bed that can be adapted to fit a queen size mattress, a large marble top dresser, complete with a mirror and shelves, and a beautiful marble top washstand with a high backsplash. This set came right out of a home, and it is in awesome condition. The bed is 60 inches wide on the inside of the side rails, but the rails only allow it to be 75 inches long. A modern-day queen-size bed is 60 inches wide by 80 inches long, which could be adapted to make this a queen size bed. The overall size of the bed is 64 inches wide on the outside, 36 inches high on the footboard, 94 inches high on the headboard. The bed has all the finials all intact, and is topped by a hand carved crest. It has burl walnut accent panels that adorn the headboard with incise carved buttons all over.  The foot is the same with applied carvings inside out with matching finials and the beautiful burl panels with incise carved buttons. Even the side rails have burl panels. The next item is the four-drawer marble top dresser that appears to be a three drawer, but the bottom baseboard is a hidden drawer. It has a beautiful ogee bevel edge brown and rose color marble top that is quite unusual yet common in the Renaissance Victorian era.  The dresser is 48 inches wide, 21 inches deep, 32 inches high to the top of the marble and 95 inches high to the top of the mirror.  It has the circular round dove tail drawers that is common for the renaissance era.  It has the original teardrop pulls.  It has the fancy attributes of burl panels, fluted columns holding up the candle shelves, ogee bevel edges and the hidden drawer in the base.  Finally, is the burl panel marble top carved washstand or commode.  It is 31 inches wide, 16 inches deep, 31 inches high to the top of the marble and 42 inches high to the top of the backsplash.
