We are pleased to be offering today this right out of a Northwest estate untouched beautiful burl white and gray grained marble top carved sideboard that dates from the 1860s to 1870s.  It is very unique.  This particular sideboard has olive ash burl panels on the two doors below and the accent piece between the two middle shelves.  The top is burl walnut and the rest of the cabinet is all walnut.  It is better than usual with a real heavy crown molded top, two shelves for storage, reverse turn finials that are all there (two of them had to be doweled again) and there are carved rosettes throughout.  Beneath that is a mirror that is original to the piece with a deep molded top.  It has hand cut dove tails and tear drop pulls.  The only thing someone has done to this piece is to put the two small metal cabinet latches on the front that are period, but I do not believe they are original.  The sideboard has a double wheel castor which is still intact.  One has come off, but we will try to fix it and get it back on.  There is a small chip on the marble that we will repair prior to shipping.  The finish is dry having come right out of a house that likely had a woodstove.  The overall size of the marble is 49 inches wide, 21 inches deep and 37.5 inches high from the floor.  The height to the very top is 87 inches high, the top shelf from the floor is 67 inches high and the middle shelf from the floor is 54 inches high.  If you are looking for originality this is definitely a great options.  We will clean the cabinet with Howard’s to help with the dryness prior to shipping.  Shipping starts at $385 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England.  Please contact us prior to purchase with your zip code to confirm what it would cost you if outside of New England for shipping.
