We are pleased to be offering today this really fine example of a Victorian burl walnut over carved marble top pier mirror that dates from the 1870’s to 1880’s in beautiful original condition. We took this out of the original home. We made a delivery to a home where they no longer had space for this and we were fortunate enough to have the chance to purchase it. It has wonderful detail stick and ball spindle top crest, burl walnut incise carved pillars, incise carved blocks, burl panels and more that I can go on and on about. This is one of the best examples of Victorian Eastlake furniture I have seen in a long time. Even at the base below the white marble are carved flowers and a circular shelf support. The finish is a medium walnut stain. It has a burl walnut all over the place with a beautiful patina. The mirror is great just showing minor age marks. The overall size is 101 inches tall without the little crest. The crest will add another 8 inches. The width is approximately 27 inches wide and the depth of the shelf is 11 inches. It is a beautiful pier mirror. It doesn’t get much better than this one. Look at the pictures to see the beauty.
