SOLD Victorian Burl Walnut Marble Top Carved Sideboard
We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful Victorian civil war era marble top sideboard. It is a beautiful piece that has been refinished in the last 20 years or so. It has pierce carved hand carved curved design super solid black walnut crest, two urn shape dainty and delicate finials, four shelves with cut out supports and the tombstone shape mirror on the back with fancy cut out. The base has a white ogee bevel edge round corner top that definitely dates it from the 1860s era. It has two hand cut dove tail drawers with a mustache type curved handle against a burl panel. The base has oval burl panels with round corner accent pieces. When the door is open it exposes the original middle shelf. It is finished in a medium walnut stain that is a gorgeous patina. The overall size is 47 inches wide, 22 inches deep, 37 inches high to the marble top and 86 inches high to the carved top crest. The mirror is 13.5 inches wide by 23 inches high. It is a fantastic piece. There is no key. Shipping estimates starts at $385.00-$425.00 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England.
