We are pleased to be offering today this tough to find solid black walnut heavily incise carved marble top pier mirror that dates from the 1880s in original as found condition. It appears that someone cleaned it and rubbed it down a bit years ago. It has a small chip in the left hand corner of bevel edge marble top. There is a small chip on the side of the base that is about 2 inches long. Other than that it is all good. The crest itself is 20 inches high and adds a lot to the mirror. You may have to lower the crest a bit which is possible as it is almost 98 inches tall to fit in a modern day home. The overall size is 26 inches wide and approximately 98 inches tall. It has incise carving all around, hand carved crest on top with drop down finials and bell carving in the center. The size of the marble is 10 inches wide by 8.5 inches deep.
