SOLD Victorian Walnut Incise Carved Large Mantle Mirror
We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful Victorian solid black walnut incise carved mantle mirror that is 56 inches wide and 47 inches tall dating from the 1880’s. It has a wonderful multi-grooved solid black walnut American frame with the gold incise carving design on the inside with the original looking glass makes for a great over the mantle mirror. Some people put them over a sideboard, other put them over a fire place and others put them in the hallway for an entrance mirror. It is a gorgeous mirror that is finished in a dark walnut stain. There are a couple of screw holes in the top and I am not sure if there was a crest at one time or if that is how someone attached it to a wall. The overall condition is really good with the exception of the screw holes, which we will touch up before shipping.
