SOLD Set of 6 Mahogany Empire Style Dining Chairs – Twin Arms
We are pleased to be offering today this set of 6 mahogany Empire style dining chairs that date from the 1940s era. They came out of a home here in southern Maine. The set consists of two arm chairs and four side chairs. The finish is all original. We just wiped them down before pictures. The upholstery is a crush velour and is antique gold. They have the old original refinish and they could probably use a good cleaning. They have saber style front legs, flared back legs, empire cut out center splat and traditional empire curl on the arm chairs. The arm chairs are 20 inches wide, 19 inches deep, 34 inches high to the back, 18 inches high to the seat. The side chairs are 19.5 inches wide, 19 inches deep, 33 inches high to the back and 18 inches high to the seat. They are in a dark brownish red mahogany stain. One chair has 3 small chips on the back that we will detail out prior to shipping if you remind us at the time of the sale. There was an arm on one of the arm chairs that was glued up and we will touch it up prior to shipping Shipping estimates starts at $285.00-$310.00 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England.
