We are pleased to be offering today this really nice set of high quality mahogany dining room chairs dating from the early 1900’s that are made by the John D. Raab Chair Company out of Grand Rapids, Michigan. These chairs appear to be all solid mahogany, which is unusual for this style. They are very heavy and well made. I have never heard of this chair maker before, but I am impressed with their quality. This set consists of four oversize side chairs and two arm chairs or master chairs. It is a great design. They have the empire curl foot or jelly foot on the chairs and so are the posts. They are in the dark reddish brown mahogany finish. We purchased a table with the chairs and the color is very similar, but I am not sure if they are the same maker. We also offer a full restoration shop if you desire, but this set is real nice with only some minor flaws on the finish. They have solid mahogany backs, solid mahogany splat backs and they have a green seat that could be leather or a high quality green vinyl. It is hard to tell exactly without pulling it apart. These are simple slip seats that allows you to unscrew the seat and wrap the fabric around. The arm chairs are 23 inches wide, 19 inches deep, 38 inches high to the chair back, 27 inches high to the arm and 19 inches high to the seat. The side chairs are 20 inches wide, 17 inches deep, 39 inches high to the back and 19 inches high to the seat. You are getting all six for one money. Shipping starts at $345 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England.
