We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful set of 6 carved walnut Jacobean style dining chairs that date from the early 1900s to 1910s.  They are a great looking set with carved simplistic posts with a little bit of leaf carving on the very top, square stock back leg, a dark brown leather upholstery on the back and on the seat against the walnut colored frame, tapered front legs, solid H cross stretcher that keeps the chair tight and this is a great set of six that have an extra high back.  They are 18 inches wide, 17 inches deep, 45 inches to the top of the post and 19.5 inches high to the seat.  The upholstery is all leather and all good.  The only thing is that where the items set on top of one another in the container, you can see the brass tack impression on the leather.  However, this will come back out over time.  The caps used on the chairs are antique brass and they look period even though I doubt they are as the upholstery looks pretty recent.  There is typical wear and tear on the finish.  The chairs are very usable, but we do recommend having them re-glued for daily use.  There is a small piece of one of the posts on the very top, the part that looks like a sideways beer keg and we will correct it before shipping if the buyer so desires.  Shipping starts at $289 if you are within our normal area.  Please check our other listings as we are pleased to be offering a wide array of quality investment minded antiques.
