SOLD Set of 6 American Press Back Chairs Original Finish
We are pleased to be offering today this set of six American press back original finish chairs that we call the bell pattern because of the large bell in the center of the press back that were made at the turn of the century by the Bent Brothers out of Gardiner, Massachusetts from the 1890s to 1900s. Every time I drive through Gardiner Massachusetts, I have a dream I am going to run into a warehouse full of chair parts all unassembled. I know it isn’t going to happen, but one can dream!! Right here is no dream. You are getting all six in original finish for one money. All chairs either have the entire label or portions of the label underneath the seats which is really cool. There are two chairs that have some staining on the seat, but otherwise they are just about all original. They have the original finish. They have a multi-turn spindle back, turn post, turn legs, turn spindle cross stretchers and a dark finish makes these chairs very desirable. The overall size is 17 inches wide, 16 inches deep, 42 inches high to the back and 18 inches high to the seat. Shipping estimates starts at $245.00-$265.00 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England.
