We are pleased to be offering today a wonderful set of six turn of the century early 1900 press back dining room chairs that were refinished by the previous owner. They came right out of an estate on the east coast. They most unusual thing about these chairs is that they are a set of six matching and they have a very unusual plywood embossed seats. I have actually never seen these design seats before and I have sold over 5,000, maybe even 10,000 chairs over my career, and I have never seen such seats. They are accented with brass tacks. The chairs themselves are pretty much maple, with the hand hold design on the press back with seven fat turn spindles in the back. The overall size is 17 inches wide, 16.5 inches deep, 40.5 inches high to the back and 18 inches high to the seat. It is a great looking set of six showing minor scuff marks. If the buyer so desires, we will re-glue the chairs for no additional charge. Shipping starts at $245 for a driveway delivery in our normal area.
