SOLD Set of Six Shield Back Hepplewhite Dining Chairs
We are pleased to be offering today this great set of six mahogany stained shield back dining chairs that date from the 1940s in original right out of the home condition. The seats have been recovered previously in a period fabric that looks great against the original dark reddish stain of the chairs. We have just polished them and made sure that they are nice and tight. The set consists of 5 side chairs and 1 arm chair. The back is an extra carved four finger splat with a shield design, tapered Hepplewhite spade foot legs and a cross stretcher for strength and sturdiness. The chairs are in original condition showing minor wear marks on the legs. The overall size of the arm chair is 21 inches wide, 19 inches deep, 41 inches high to the back, 19 inches high to the seat and 27 inches high to the arm. The side chairs are 20 inches wide, 17 inches deep, 39 inches high to the back and 19 inches high to the seat. You are getting all six for one money.
