SOLD Set of Six Duncan Phyfe Hepplewhite Dining Chairs
We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful set of six matching Hepplewhite shield back dining room chairs with the sheath of wheat pattern on the back of these wonderful detailed chairs. These chairs came in from Denmark and are reproduced with what looks like solid mahogany with the exception of some of the bracing. The chairs themselves are of excellent quality. They are all tight and sturdy in the reddish brown stain finish. They have beautiful sheath of wheat fan pattern on the back of the chairs, a better than average finger center splat and the slip seats are upholstered with a period antique stripe fabric with green and gold. The chairs feature a serpentine skirt and a Hepplewhite front leg. They are really nice dating from the last 10-15 years. The quality just blows me away. The overall size is 20 inches wide, 18 inches deep, 39.5 inches high to the back and 19 inches high to the seat. You are looking at a fantastic set of six. I am not sure what they cost in the stores, but I am guessing about $400 a piece for this high quality. It will cost $285 to have this set of six chairs shipped within our normal shipping area.
