We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful set of six matching mahogany Duncan Phyfe style or third period empire dining chairs that are very stylish, sturdy and stout. They consist of one arm chair and five side chairs. They came right out of the original home where they were purchased brand new back in the 1940s era. We are selling these along with a corner china closet of the same age and style. The fabric appears to be the original cranberry and gold braided stripes. The fabric shows a few little stains on the fabric, but you really have to look to notice it. They have the triple cut out backs, flared back leg, saber style front leg and are just like a period chair. The finish is a medium reddish brown. The overall size of the side chairs are 19 inches wide, 19 inches deep, 34 inches high to the back and 18 inches high to the seat. The arm chair is 21 inches wide, 19 inches deep, 34 inches high to the back, 26 inches high to the arms and 19 inches high to the seat. Other than minor nicks and dings, the chairs are all tight and sturdy and ready for many years of carefree use.
