SOLD Set of 6 #1 Larkin Press Back Antique Chairs

We are pleased to be offering today this set of 6 #1 oak Larkin press back chairs dating from the early 1900s.  these were purchase out of a home off the lake in New Hampshire.  The couple is downsizing and we were fortunate enough to get these.  They were refinished approximately 20 years ago and they aren't bad looking.  They would look gorgeous refinished in the newer colors everyone seems to like.  These are light in color.  Four chairs have lace cane seats and the other two have press in cane seats.  There is one lace cane chair that isn't quite as strong as the others on the cane.  It isn't a big deal as most people put upholstered cushions on top.  Larkin #1 chairs will always be the best-selling press back chair in the antique market.  Back in the day, we used to keep as many in stock as we could as it was the fastest selling chair.  We keep 30-50 of these chairs in stock at all times, so if you need a larger set, please contact us and we can assemble it for you.  This set of chairs can be professionally refinished if you desire, by emailing us for a quote.  Larkin was a soap company that would hand out coupons that could be used to purchase items such as these gorgeous chairs.  Larkin Furniture is a very desirable commodity and they are highly collectible. This set of chairs has the diamond oval back, the twist rope pull that makes it #1, turn spindles in the back, turn spindles in the front, cross stretchers and this set of chairs is in usable condition.  The overall size is 18 inches wide, 17 inches deep, 43 inches high to the top of the post and 18 inches high to the seat.  You are getting all six for one money.
