We are pleased to be offering today this set of 4 chairs that just came out of a a home. We are selling them in as found condition. They are in the old refinished condition. It appears that they have been stripped and revarnished a long time ago. The cool thing about these is that they have four wooden insert seats that are different designs. Two seats match and the other two seats match. They are constructed just like the chairs of the early 1900s being of oak, ash, elm and maple. They combination of wood throughout the entire set. They have some little issues as the screws in the hip rests have been replaced. They cracked one of the screws in the hip rest, which can be fixed and I am sure you can tell in the photos. The spindles, backs and back posts are all original. They have a beautiful design. One chair back has a crack where it attached to the post but is structural sound. The chair pressback themselves are 8 inches high. They have three turn cross stretchers on the front with turned side stretchers also. The chairs are usable the way they are, but I am sure most people would want them refinished. The overall size is 17 inches wide on the seat, approximately 17 inches deep, 40 inches high on the chair back and 17 inches high to the seat. You are getting all four for one money.
