We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful two piece heavily carved period step back linen chest cupboard that dates from the 1850s to 1860s. The top of this cupboard has big oval fan tail carved doors, carved crown crest, gadroon edge molding on the base cabinet with the four drawers in it and it is in rosewood. The cabinet is heavily carved. The base is 49 inches wide, 21 inches deep and 36 inches high to the top of the base cabinet. The top cabinet is 45 inches wide, 17 inches deep and 45 inches high. The entire cabinet is approximately 80 inches high. When you open the two carved doors on top with the original key it reveals pull out slides for your clothes. It has four hand cut dove tails drawers underneath and a wonderful square nail back. It is a unique and hard to find item. It is in nice condition with no negatives except that it needs a new home.
