This modern poster bed in a king size canopy came out of a home on the coast of Maine. We don't usually sell anything only 10-12 years old, but this solid mahogany canopy bed features rice carved fluted attributes on all four columns. It has a king size bed frame, which is two twin size box springs that go on and then the mattress on top. It has a big wide mahogany shield on the headboard and an open footboard. This bed breaks right down to go into a station wagon, if need be, for easy transport. The posts come right off, the rails, etc. The overall size on the outside dimensions is 82 inches wide, 87 inches high to the top of the finials, 95.5 inches high to the highest point of the canopy, 23 inches high on the footboard, 22.5 inches high on the siderails from the floor, the headboard panel is 45.5 inches from the floor. The inside dimension for each side of the box spring is 38.5 inches by 82 inches long. The size for the mattress is 80 inches by 80 inches, which is a modern-day king-size mattress. It is in a dark reddish-brown stain. It is in fairly good condition with a few minor nicks and dings. Shipping starts at $345 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area.
