We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful period pre-civil war antique flame mahogany full size sleigh bed that has had the rails altered to accommodate a modern day full size box spring and mattress. The inside dimensions for mattress purposes is 54 inches wide and 75 inches long. The outside dimensions are 58.5 inches wide, 40 inches high on the headboard and the footboard is also 40 inches high. You can see the original bed was a rope bed as it has the cross members have the knob and the ratchet to tighten the rope. We put in a nice new solid set of side rails for a modern day box spring and mattress. It also comes with bed slats. It is in nice condition. It has a crack in the panel on the headboard, but for being 170 years old it is in great shape. Shipping starts at $385 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England.
