We are pleased to be offering this wonderful period empire sofa to you today. Dating from before the civil-war, this piece has been professionally reupholstered. The original frame is flame mahogany throughout with a hand carved flame mahogany crest. The frame is in the original reddish brown patina. Overall it looks like an expensive fabric..it appears as though there is a slight stain on the fabric about about 9 inches from the arm on the right side. We say "it appears", because we're not sure if it's actually a stain, but just in case, we want to mentioning it. It is usable and I don’t think you would notice, but I wanted to make you aware of the possibility. The overall size of this sofa is 80 inches on the outside of the arms, 68 inches on the inside of the arms, 25 inches deep from the back to the front, 36 inches high to the crest, 25.5 inches high to the arm and 19 inches high to the seat. It is a beautiful original reddish brown stained patina frame. The only problem with the frame is that at the bottom there were some veneers chips that have been colored in and we will try to touch them up before shipping to the buyer. The biggest bargain on this freshly reupholstered sofa is that we are offering to ship for $325 to our normal shipping area. Please contact us prior to purchase to confirm that you are within our normal area. If you should not be in our large area, the cost to ship is very minimal.
