SOLD Empire Flame Mahogany Twin Sleigh Bed 1850s – Antique
This elegant Empire period twin-size sleigh bed is crafted in flame mahogany and dates from the 1850s. It features classic Empire styling in both the headboard and footboard, with dramatic mahogany grain that runs consistently throughout, which is a personal favorite of mine. The bed retains its original finish, which has aged beautifully and remains in outstanding condition for its age.
This piece was purchased out of a Central Maine home that had a plethora of excellent Empire furniture, and this bed is no exception — stylish, sturdy, and abundant flame mahogany.
