We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful pair of Victorian solid black walnut civil war era needlepoint fabric parlor chairs that dates from the 1870s era in good original condition. The fabric was most likely done around the turn of the century (1900s) because it became quite popular at the time. They have a dark maroon colorful floral arrangement. The chairs are solid black walnut, original finish, medallion backs, carved, hip rests, serpentine skirted seats and cabriole front legs that retain the original brass castors. The chair frames are in good condition. One of the chairs has a seam pulled apart at the hip rest joint that we will check out prior to shipping. The springs on one chair seems to have let go a bit as it is slightly deformed as you can see if you study the pictures real close. It is not a big deal, but we wanted to mention it. The chairs are pretty much identical. The overall size is 24 inches wide across the seat, 22 inches deep, approximately 40 inches high to the top of the back and approximately 17 inches high to one seat and 16 inches high to the other seat. You are getting the pair for one money. Shipping estimates starts at $245.00-$265.00 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England. We can assist you in setting up shipping if needed, you would pay the shipping company direct. Please contact us prior to purchase with your zip code to confirm what it would cost you if outside of New England for shipping.
