SOLD Antique Pair of Victorian Needlepoint Gent’s and Lady’s Chairs
We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful matching pair of Victorian beautiful original condition needlepoint solid black walnut civil war era armchair and ladies chair dating from the 1860s to 1870s era. It is a gorgeous looking pair with matching open carved crests with leaf and berry carving, carved back supports, cabriole front legs, original casters, solid black walnut frames in the original frame and they have a gorgeous patina. We have oiled the frames to brighten up the finish. The open arm gents chair has a dark wine color background with beautiful floral design on the needlepoint. The ladies chair is a bit darker background with a multi-color needlepoint fabric on the seat and back. The overall size of the armchair is 24 inches across the arms, 19 inches on the inside of the arms, 24 inches deep, 44 inches high to the chair back, 24 inches high to the arms and 18.5 inches high to the seat. The lady’s chair is 22 inches wide across the hip rests, 21 inches deep, 41 inches high to the crest and 17.5 inches high to the seat. Both chairs have the original finish and metal casters. You are getting both chairs for one money. Shipping starts at $265 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area. Outside the normal area will incur additional delivery charges, which could add on especially if you're on the West Coast.
