SOLD Pair of Antique Ladies Chairs, Victorian Renaissance Ladies Chairs
This matching pair of burl walnut ladies chairs are in the Renaissance style. Dating from the 1870s to 1880s, these antique ladies chairs are in the original finish. The upholstery was redone quite a while ago in an antique beige design, with a floral designs across the beige and a light teal gimp wrap. It looks like an expensive upholstery job, as they are all pleated and buttoned, and the upholstery is still nice and usable. There are some water stains on the seats that I believe would shampoo out, but I can’t guarantee it. The chairs have front legs are multi-turn tapered right down to the bottom, burl curved front skirts, cutout fancy shape back legs, burl accent trims around the backs and hip rests, and they have carved rosettes on the corners of the back of the crest that have pierce carved burl walnut buttons on the top. The overall size is 19 inches wide across the seat, 18 inches deep, 18 inches high to the seat and 35 inches high overall. You are getting the pair for one money. Other than the stains on the upholstery that I believe would shampoo out, these chairs are in wonderful condition.
