We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful solid oak turn of the century (early 1900s) pressback carved oversized rocking chair sold by the Larkin soap Company. This is a model we used to get often back in the 1970's in oak and mahogany. This chair is all solid oak. It has the carved north wind or lion heads in the corners with an open hand hold in the center of the carved back. It has seven solid oak spindles that come down into an extra wide splat. It has cut out solid arms with four spindles supports with a post in the end holding up the arms. It has a solid oak saddle scooped out seat. It is a traditional oak carved rocker. Someone put a very small gouge in the front of the solid oak seat that we can touch up prior to shipping. This was refinished approximately 30 years ago in a medium oak stain finish with a satin sheen lacquer. The overall condition is good and sturdy. The overall size is larger than usual being 25 inches wide on the outside of the arms, 18 inches wide on the inside of the arms, 21 inches deep and 42 inches high overall. The size of the backs on the very top is 7.5 inches and the bottom back is 8 inches. These are great looking chairs.Shipping starts at $245 for a driveway delivery in our normal area.
