This Antique Oak Rocking Chair was sold by the Larkin Furniture Company, and dates from the 1890s. We I have owned this exact model of antique rocking chair many times over the years. Some of these oak rocking chairs even retain the paper Larkin label underneath. This particular model features serpent or lion faces in the upper corners with a traditional hand hold in the center. A carved backsplash, numerous tiger sawn oak dainty-turned spindles, a scooped out saddle seat, nice turnings all around, and the rocking chair base are additional features of this antique oak rocker. This rocking chair was refinished years ago and it has held up very well. The overall size is 26 inches wide across the arms, 19 inches deep on the seat, 46 inches high to the back, 24 inches high to the arm and 17 inches high to the seat. It is a great rocking chair, and is one of the higher end antique rocking chairs. Shipping estimates starts at $225.00 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England.
